Nestled directly adjacent to the park, the 5-star Villa Sophie offers a sauna, fitness center, playground, Wi-Fi, and ample privacy. Enjoy the secluded location, the exclusively furnished rooms of the 220m² villa, and two terraces. Explore the park, thermal baths, playgrounds, and over 10 restaurants and cafes on foot, and reach Baden-Baden and Karlsruhe in a short drive.


The accommodation

Enjoy the light-filled rooms of the 220m² historic villa spread over four floors, which were renovated in July 2019.

You enter the house through the vestibule and a beautiful hallway that leads to the open-plan living area, the kitchen, and the upper floors. Our exclusively equipped stainless steel kitchen boasts professional-grade appliances (steam oven, fully automatic coffee machine, microwave, glass cooktop, and dishwasher) and provides ample opportunity for you to enjoy cooking. Conversations with friends are easily enjoyed at the open counter between the kitchen and dining room. A stereo system is available to further enhance the atmosphere in the kitchen. The dining room flows seamlessly into the living room and kitchen. In the living room, you can relax on our comfortable sofa. A modern flat-screen TV with 4K resolution and premium Netflix access offers a wide selection of films and series. The highlight of the ground floor is our loggia, where you can enjoy the view through fully glazed windows in any weather and observe the lively activity of the birds in the treetops. This is also a popular spot for a game or reading a good book from our library and games collection.


Upstairs you'll find the 'Cabin Fire' suite with a double bed, a large bathroom (shower, large corner bathtub, and toilet), and a private flat-screen TV with Netflix access and satellite TV. The highlight of the 'Cabin Fire' suite is the fireplace, where you can enjoy romantic evenings on the sofa or inspiring moments at the antique desk. The sofa can also be converted into an additional double bed if needed, for example, to accommodate a family in one room.


On the top floor is the 'Star Gazer' suite with its own shower and toilet. Located 40 meters above the park, it offers breathtaking views of the city and the stars. The suite has two single beds and a private bathroom, and can accommodate two additional sleeping spaces in two adjoining rooms, making it suitable for families.


On the lower level is the 'River Sounds' suite, featuring a double room and a single room where you can drift off to sleep to the gentle murmur of the Alb River. Both rooms share a shower and a separate toilet. You'll also find access to the spacious, covered southwest-facing terrace with an electric grill, seating area, and beach chair. Here you can enjoy the view over the spa gardens amidst the lush green treetops and the wonderfully fresh, richly ionized air of this health resort. A separate stereo system allows you to listen to your own music on the terrace and in the fitness room. Also located on the lower level are a sauna for up to six people and our fitness room with exercise bikes and a rowing machine.



Three families in our three suites each have their own floor and also share a floor that serves as a communal living, dining, and kitchen area. Outside, there are two terraces and a playground. The playground features a treehouse, a slide, three swings, and a sandbox, as well as two covered seating areas and a table for parents. The second, more private terrace offers three benches, a hammock, and a parasol, and is connected via a spiral staircase to the covered terrace 5 meters higher.


The historic villa is located in the heart of Bad Herrenalb, directly adjacent to the spa gardens, and offers over 10 restaurants, 2 children's playgrounds, pharmacies, bakeries, and cafes within a 500-meter radius. The thermal baths are open until 10 pm, and the train station provides connections to Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden. Supermarkets are approximately 1 km away and are open Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 10 pm. Bad Herrenalb is the gateway to the highlights of the Northern Black Forest, all of which can be reached in about half an hour. Baden-Baden, with its thermal baths, museums, festival hall, beautiful parks, upscale boutiques, and casino, is about 30 minutes away. The city of Karlsruhe is also reachable in 30 minutes via the S1 train line – there you'll find the world-famous ZKM (Center for Art and Media), the Europabad (a water park), and many other attractions. Bad Wildbad, with its renowned thermal baths, treetop walkway, and WILDLINE cable car, is also 30 minutes away, as is the gold city of Pforzheim. Strasbourg, Europa-Park Rust, Heidelberg, Stuttgart, and Mannheim, as well as the Northern Black Forest National Park, Mummelsee, and Hornisgrinde, are all within an hour's drive. Villa Sophie is easily accessible by public transport and is only 300 meters from Bad Herrenalb train station.


The historic house offers beds for seven people, with four additional sleeping options on sofa beds and two baby cots available if needed. Children will enjoy the Villa Sophie's own playground, and a wide selection of games is also available. Villa Sophie features a sauna, a library, and fitness equipment. The area around Bad Herrenalb offers countless excursion opportunities for children of all ages, such as the treetop walkway in Bad Wildbad, the Europabad and Albgaubad water parks, or the WILDLINE suspension bridge.

Our prices always apply to the entire holiday home (regardless of occupancy) and include a welcome package, final cleaning, and all additional costs and taxes.

In addition, there is the respective tourist tax of the town of Bad Herrenalb, which varies, currently a maximum of €3 per day and guest (from age 14).


We charge a security deposit of 500 euros, which will be refunded to you after departure provided no damage has occurred.

We require a deposit of half the accommodation price to confirm your booking and ask that you transfer the remaining balance no later than one month before your arrival to secure your reservation. By making your deposit, you agree to our house rules and cancellation policy, which are attached to our reply to your booking request.

Arrive relaxed and with light luggage. Our complimentary welcome package includes everything you typically need for your stay in our holiday home. From made beds, towels, and bathrobes for each guest, to dishwasher tablets, toilet paper, and more. You only need to bring your personal belongings. You can rely on our comprehensive amenities. For stays of 8 days or more, weekly cleaning is included upon request. Our prices include final cleaning, all utilities, and taxes. The only additional charge is the Bad Herrenalb tourist tax, which is €3 per night per adult (14 years and older).


Please note that smoking is not allowed in the house and neither dogs nor other animals can stay overnight.
